Task Force Charge:

The task force is charged to explore options to address overcrowding and the need for additional capacity at the Rockville Campus of Montgomery College and to recommend at least two workable alternatives along with the advantages and limitations of each alternative.

Organization:

The Task Force is advisory to the Vice President and Provost of the Rockville Campus and will be an inclusive group of community and College representatives. Dean Carolyn Terry and Dr. Robert Anastasi, an educator and Rockville resident, will serve as the Task Force co-chairs.

The Planning Committee (PC) will design, plan, and organize the various meetings and forums, ensuring that they effectively meet the desired outcomes and adhere to the project plan. The PC consists of the Task Force co-chairs, some members of the resource group, and the facilitators/process consultants.

The Facilitators/Process Consultants serve two key roles: 1) advising and guiding Task Force co-chairs, resource staff, and planning committee members on appropriate processes and strategies for effective group interactions; 2) supporting the Task Force co-chairs during meetings by facilitating discussions, ensuring that process and content are effectively managed, and results are maximized. The two facilitators are Ms. Krista Walker and Dr. John Antonishak.

The Executive Committee (EC) is a sub-group of the full task force, consisting of critical stakeholders and subject matter experts that share and represent the interests of the larger group. The EC serves an administrative, task-oriented function by advising and informing decisions related to the content, design, and overall development of the Task Force’s final recommendations and its corresponding report.

The Resource Group will support the work of the task force and provide information and data as needed by the Task Force.
