VISUAL COMMUNICATION
View Visual Communication A.F.A.: 902A Visual Communication A.F.A.: 902A This track is studio intensive, with two-thirds of the total credit hours in studio and visual communication courses and one-third of the total credit hours in general education courses. The program will prepare students for transfer to a four-year art institution to pursue a bachelor of fine arts degree. The first year of study includes core studio courses in drawing, color theory, two-dimensional and three-dimensional design, art history, and general education courses. The second year includes courses in graphic design, computer graphics, illustration, typography, and visual communication electives. A listing of the required courses and a suggested sequence of courses can be obtained from the Visual Communications Technologies Department, the School of Art and Design, or the College Web site. Graphic Design Certificate: 903A This certificate is for individuals who have experience in fine arts, want a studio-intensive experience in graphic design, meet the prerequisites for the required courses, and are not currently interested in pursuing a degree.
