Grammar Tutoring - MT 020
Are you taking an EL course? You can get help with grammar or other assignments in EL courses from a professional faculty tutor in the MT 020 Grammar Lab. Tutors can also help any students who have general questions about English grammar.
During your tutoring session, your tutor will go over your exercises and talk with you about grammatical difficulties you are having. You can discuss English verb tenses, parts of speech, transition words, participles, adverbial clauses, and many other subjects. If your professor allows, the tutor will also help you “correct” your work in a detailed way.
In addition, the tutors can show you grammar tips, web sites, and computer exercises that will help you improve your English grammar skills. At the end of your session, the tutor can “sign off” on your assignments to let your professor know that you finished your work satisfactorily.
What to Bring to Your Grammar Tutoring Session
You can expect a meeting of up to thirty minutes. Before you start the session, give your tutor any information you have about your grammar assignment, including any instructions from your professor, an exercise packet, or a textbook.
