Challenge Program,
which provides unique courses for adults
with developmental disabilities to help them function more independently in
their homes, at work, and in the community. Of equal importance, students
will have the opportunity to increase their social
and community awareness
by learning at Montgomery College.

Pathways to Success is a unique
learning community program, giving students an opportunity to begin their
college education at Montgomery College. Pathways to Success provides a fifteen-week session in reading/ writing and
life skills/career
planning to students testing below 52 on the college entrance exam. Also,
students meet with a Job Development Specialist to explore realistic career
paths.

Resources to pilot the
Graduate
Transition Program (GTP)
The Graduate Transition Program is a custom-tailored learning
community program for students with special needs exiting high school.
GTP
is a two-year, tuition-based,
credit-free certificate program. The overall
objective is to enable students to transition to greater independent living
through functional education, residential, vocational, and
life-skills services.

Education Placement Options :
This document explores many options including Pathways to Success, Career Skills,
Adult ESOL, Adult Literacy and GED, as well as a variety of options within the
community such as the Conservation Corp, Lab School, Maryland One-Stop Service
Centers, and more.
