How to Apply

1. Schedule required state approved testing (if needed) and submit score reports to Montgomery College. See Testing / Praxis for further details.
2. Have official college transcripts sent to Montgomery College with coursework, credit hours, overall GPA and date of completion of Bachelor’s (and graduate degree, if applicable)
3. Submit a completed Applicant Information Page along with the following:
• A resume including employment history and educational background, with emphasis on any experiences in teaching or work that would enhance your abilities to teach adolescents.
• Two references from former / current employers mailed directly to Montgomery College School of Education.
• A two-page written personal statement of interest in teaching and the ACET program.
• An ACET Applicant Evaluation registration form including non-refundable  $50.00 fee, payable by credit card or check made to “Montgomery College”.

Please make a copy of the application forms and transcripts for your records.

For priority review, submit the application by October 15, 2008.

After consideration by the Selection Committee, candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview. Interviews will be held in October and November.
