The GED Practice Test is offered to anyone in the community who has been studying and is planning to take the official Maryland GED exam. It provides exposure to the format of the GED test and also assesses if someone is really prepared to sit that exam.

These test scores are not used to place students in a class.

You MUST attend one of the GED Practice Test Review & Registration Sessions listed below, BEFORE you can take the Practice Test. Please call 240-567-8950 to register for a review session. Photo ID required!

At the session you attend, you will register and pay for the GED Practice Test. Please bring the twenty dollar($20.00) fee to the review session. We can only accept payment in the form of a money order. We do not accept cash, checks, credit, or debit cards. Money Orders are available at local grocery stores, banks, or area post offices for a small fee. Make the $20.00 money order payable to "Montgomery College". Please print your name and address on it as well.

Participants will learn more about the GED tests, review test taking strategies, and get some tips on relaxation techniques that will help them as they prepare for the official GED exam. There are no childcare services provided. Do not bring children to the review session or the practice test.

Everyone must attend a test review session before taking the Practice Test. If you show up on the day of the practice test without having gone to the review session, you will be turned away. Arrive at least ten (10) minutes before the start of the Practice test. Once the test has started, nobody will be allowed to enter the room. Please bring two sharpened pencils to the test. Calculators will be provided. After completing the practice test, see the test administrator to schedule an appointment to meet with a Montgomery College counselor and get the test results.
