The Reznick Group Scholarship is currently offering five scholarship opportunities in the amount of $499.00 each to provide funding for individuals with financial needs and/or small companies and nonprofits to complete the new online course, Introduction to Environmental and Social Sustainability, Course MGT348. MC's Workforce Development & Continuing Education will partner with the nonprofit organization, Bethesda Green, the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, and the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection to offer this course.

The new course is part of the College's Sustainability Management Professional Series and is intended to assist businesses to achieve lasting sustainability practices that save costs, increase employee engagement, and enhance marketing and visibility.

The new course is intended for college graduates who are seeking environmental leadership careers and individuals seeking to transition to "green" careers or mastering new competencies.

Who is eligible for the Reznick Scholarship?

Company recommended employees, from a registered Small Business (with 100 employees or fewer) in Montgomery County. Use Application Form A (Employee)
Individuals, who are Montgomery County Residents, meeting financial need criteria (see guidelines for financial eligibility). Use Application Form B (Individual)

How to Apply

Company recommended employees use Reznick Scholarship Form A. Qualified individuals use Reznick Scholarship Form B. The appropriate Application Form should be filled out completely! Please be sure it includes appropriate signatures and any required documentation as instructed. Applications should be mailed to, or dropped off in person, at:

Course Information:

Introduction to Environmental and Social Sustainability MGT348

Energy contractors with solar panelsThis class introduces basic concepts and frameworks of sustainability to provide you with a solid understanding of how sustainability works, why it is important, and how to use sustainability as a lens for good business strategy. You will participate in weekly online classes, with reading and writing assignments in between class meetings.
Topics covered include creating a sustainability plan, employee engagement, energy and climate change, and sustainability reporting and communication. Students registered for this class are required to have a headset with microphone.
