Administration) and are as follows: $175.00 for BRC (Basic Rider Course)
and ABRC (Alternate BRC) and $100.00 for ERC (Experienced Rider
Course) , out of state fees are additional-- $70.00 for BRC and
ABRC and $50.00 for ERC.
Registration for BRC can be done in-person only! The typical registration process is as follows:
At 7:00am, Reservation cards will be given to registrants waiting in line according to the number of seats available in the classes. If you get a card, there is a seat available for you in a class, though it may not be at the time or date you prefer. Registration is done on a first come, first served basis and seats are limited. There is usually a long line of registrants by the time the Reservation cards are distributed at 7:00 a.m. Consider this a very popular course; be prepared to get in line considerably earlier than 7:00am.
Registrants will be admitted into the building at approximately 7:15 am, in sections to begin the registration process which includes completion of registration forms, verification of billing account information and course selection. You will be called to register according to your numbered registration card; if your number is called and you do not respond, we will move to the next numbered registrant. Your specific processing time will vary; we typically have all participants registered within 4 hours.
ABRC and ERC students do not have to wait in line; however you will have to wait until at least 7:30am on the day of registration in order to register. This is subject to change without notice for certain class sections. Alternate
BRC students should ensure they are choosing the Alternate BRC
for the right reasons. Please visit Motorcycle
FAQs for more details regarding BRC and Alternate BRC course
requirements. You may also contact the training center manager Henry Winokur, 301-320-2104 or email tcm_mc@verizon.net with questions about the classes (not about registration). Or visit the MVA web sites for further information.
