Have you always thought about starting a technology-based business but could never come up with that "killer" idea? Learn how you can take advantage of the billions of dollars spent in Federal labs and University research to find your next product or service. Whether you're an entrepreneurial company looking for your next product or an entrepreneur in search of the right business opportunity, this course will show you how you can make it happen.
This course will feature Julie Lenzer Kirk an award winning entrepreneur, author, and sought-after speaker, Ms. Kirk works with businesses and entrepreneurs to help them navigate the murky water of business success and set a course for greatness.
Students will learn how to identify special considerations for starting and growing a technology company. The course will introduce entrepreneurial companies and individuals to the options available for licensing technologies from other entities, and provide an overview of the tech transfer process including how to find and evaluate available technologies.
Small Business Programs at Montgomery College offer noncredit training and education to residents, employees, and employers.
