Note to all students signing up for language courses in WD&CE: All language classes with a course code beginning with 'LAN' require textbooks. Text costs are in addition to course fees. Most texts will be used for more than one year of study. Please be advised that you should purchase only the edition that is listed, unless alternative editions are specifically listed as acceptable. Textbooks are available at Montgomery College's Rockville campus bookstore.

Nexos: Options for purchasing Nexos, 2nd edition with Student Activities Manual textbook for courses LAN009 (Spanish I, Part 1) & LAN013 (Spanish III, Part 1):

Option 1:  Rockville Campus Bookstore

  1. The title of the textbook available at the bookstore is Nexos with Student Activities Manual,  This is a custom-bound textbook + activities manual, together in one paperback book to reduce the cost to our customers. Ask for ISBN 978-1-4240-64533.

  2. Preferred, but not required: For an additional $7.00, the Nexos with Student Activities Manual textbook comes bundled with an access code to the Premium website that contains grammar tutorials, flash cards, audio and video programs, etc.  Ask for ISBN 142825000X.

Option 2:  iChapters online website

  1. The exact title of the eBook available at www.ichapters.com is Nexos (with Audio CD), 2nd Edition, ISBN 0-547-17189-7.  You may purchase the entire textbook in either a print or an electronic format (eTextbook). Please note: when purchasing the Textbook OR eTextbook through this website, it does not include the accompanying Student Activities Manual (listed as Study Tool on the website, ISBN 0-547-17186-2).   2. Another option available on the www.ichapters.com website is to purchase individual chapters of the textbook in an electronic format (eChapter). Again, when purchasing just an individual chapter, it does not include the accompanying Student Activities Manual (listed as Study Tool on the website, ISBN 0-547-17186-2). That is a separate purchase. For LAN009 (Spanish I, Part 1) classes, instruction will begin with Chapter 1. For LAN013 (Spanish III, Part 1) classes, instruction will begin at Chapter 8.
