Pathways to Success
Pathways to Success is a learning community offered by Montgomery College Workforce Development & Continuing Education. It is designed for students who have a reading score of 35 to 52 points on the Accuplacer Reading Test.
Pathways is a one-semester, noncredit program that includes an intense reading instruction course (PTS 007), a writing instruction course (PTS 014), and a life skills and career planning course (PTS 015). Students who complete the Pathways Program will be re-tested in Reading to determine their eligibility to continue on to college credit courses or noncredit options.
In addition, there is an eight week Pathways to Success-Accelerated Program for students who score 45 to 52 points on the Accuplacer Reading test and meet other enrollment requirements.
Pathways students who have graduated from a Montgomery County high school and are Montgomery County residents are eligible to apply for a need based Pathways Grant (funds are limited).
