Pathways to Success

Pathways to Success is a learning community offered by Montgomery College Workforce Development & Continuing Education. It is designed for students who have a reading score of 35 to 52 points on the Accuplacer Reading Test.

Four teens on a bench Pathways is a one-semester, noncredit program that includes an intense reading instruction course (PTS 007), a writing instruction course (PTS 008), and a life skills and career planning course (PTS 009). Students who complete the Pathways Program will be re-tested in Reading to determine their eligibility to continue on to college credit courses or noncredit options.

Students are encouraged to meet with a Pathways Counselor before the beginning of the semester. Pathways students who reside in Montgomery County, and who have graduated from high school are eligible to apply for a special Grant. Grant funds are limited, discuss your financial needs with a Pathways Counselor.
