We embrace our role as both a college and a community. We are learners. Seekers. Achievers. MC provides access to quality higher education that empowers everyone to achieve success and create meaningful change.
At MC, one of the foundations of our academic programs and courses is the ability to take what you learn and effectively apply it in the world. Additionally, we transfer nearly 5,000 students a year to four-year colleges and universities, helping students continue toward their goals.
Everyone at MC has the opportunity to succeed regardless of their background or situation. We work to provide you with the right tools, pathways, flexibility, and convenience to make your experience here positive and successful.
From the very beginning, Montgomery College has been committed to providing educational value both through the excellence of our academic programs and a determined effort to keep our tuition costs low, with many types of financial aid—including more than 300 MC Foundation scholarships.
Our three campuses serve students throughout the county and sit within easy reach of public transportation and major roads, with shuttle service between campuses. And online, evening and weekend classes, and noncredit and training courses, ensure access to an education anytime, anywhere.
Life at MC isn’t all about hitting the books. Students participate in 130 clubs and organizations, including student government, sports, academic and social organizations, and special interest clubs. With our diversity, you will experience people and cultures from 159 countries.
MC’s men’s and women’s sports teams consistently score at the top, having won numerous National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) titles in soccer, basketball, baseball, and track and field. All students can participate in intramural programs. Show your Purple Pride!
There’s a reason why Montgomery College has been in the New York Times’ list of best community colleges in the country—the strength and dedication of our faculty, comprised of academic leaders and industry experts who are passionate and engaged in the subjects they teach.
