| Finding the Course: Montgomery College uses the WebCT courseware package for its distance learning and web-enhanced courses. If you have already registered for CT132 or any other class that uses WebCT, it will be accessible from the course listing on MC's WebCT course listing page. Or you can get to the course directly when you log in at http://distance.montgomerycollege.org. You will need a username and password to get access to the course. | (site last updated 12 Jan 2002)

|
| Accessing the Course: A username and password will be created for you after you register for the course, and before the course begins. Your username will be your first name and last name together, with no spaces between them (i.e., HillaryClinton), based on the names you used to register for the course. Your initial password will be you date of birth in MMDDYY format (i.e., 071548) (I don't know if that's her real birthday or not . . .). You will not get any special notification. | ||
| Can I get a preview of the course site? No, but you can visit the course Welcome Page. | I've registered for the class. What do I do next? First, send me an e-mail telling me you've registered. Otherwise, I will only have your name on a list provided by the College, with no way to contact you. Starting on Tuesday, January 22, you will be able to access the course with your username and password. | |

Do I need to buy a book? NO. Reading for this course will be from the Construction Specifications Institute's Manual of Practice, which had a student price of $130 last year. Copies of the MOP will be on reserve at the MC library in Rockville and in the Applied Tech Department resource room.
You will need to obtain the following AIA contract forms, available from AIA in DC and some local outlets: A101-1997, A201-1997, A701-1997. Other reading will be from course materials accessible on the course website. | ||
