PL 203   Fall 2008   Final exam directions
Bill Soderberg, Professor

Please address both items I and II in your final exam.

I.                   Write essays on two of the three major Western religions--Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Include three of the five topic areas in your essays. The topic areas are: metaphysical, ethical, political, institutional, and experiential aspects. The list of questions may be accessed by going to the Course Syllabi section on my web page (www.montgomerycollege.edu/~bsoderbe) and, under “Course Syllabi,” clicking on PL 203. On the PL 203 syllabus you will find the link to “preliminary questions.”  You may also, if you choose, draw from questions identified under the section “PL 203 Introduction to the Study of Religion” as "Students' Questions."

II.                 Use the questions you discuss in I above to make some comparisons between the two Western religions you discuss and some Eastern or indigenous religions we have studied earlier in the semester.

The final exam will be due on Tuesday, December 16, at 2:30 p.m. You may e-mail it to me at bill.soderberg@montgomerycollege.edu or you may bring a hard copy to Room 512 Macklin Tower and place it in my mailbox. If you e-mail the exam, I will confirm by e-mail that I have received it. I will reply to the e-mail address that you use to send me the exam.
