  2. Briefly describe the technology and equipment involved
  3. Identify reasons for using podcasting in a course
  4. Identify characteristics of the “Millennial” or "Net Generation" students

Workshop Description:

Podcasting. You've heard of it, seen your students carrying iPods, and you want to know more about what it is. In this introductory workshop, you will learn about podcasting and how it is currently being used in classrooms around the nation. You will also gain a general understanding of the technology involved. So, get ready to engage in the culture of your millennial students and, perhaps, find a new avenue for connecting with them . . . in more ways than one.

The last half hour of the workshop will be reserved for you to ask questions about podcasting and to continue a discussion with your colleagues on how podcasting may attract and hold the interest of your students.
