Podcasting in Education
Teachers can record content to be automatically delivered to students; students can record their own podcasts to share with others; puts students in charge of when the what to listen.

  • Students who have trouble following lectures—listen repeatedly at their leisure or while doing laundry, picking up the kids
  • Native language is not English
  • Gives students without backgrounds in certain topics a chance to catch up with more experienced peers
  • Makes efficient use of class time—Classes heavy on information and light on class discussion? Students listen to podcast before class and class time can be used for discussion
  • Missed lecture
  • Tutorial
