OBJECTIVES:
 

1. To understand ethics as a part of the larger study of  philosophy.
 

2. To introduce the student to the structure and some of  the standard materials of ethical study.
 

3. To provide the student with some of the basic theories and applications of ethics.
 

4. To give some consideration to matters of moral value, responsibility, intrinsic value, and the good life.
Numerous magazine and newspaper articles dealing with contemporary ethical problems will be discussed
as a supplement to the text material. These articles will deal with such topics as governmental, business, and medical ethics.
 

FINAL GRADE:

Examinations 70 points
