Course Description
The
second course for AELP students in a sequence of four courses designed to
teach academic writing of American English. Emphasis on appropriate use of
a variety of sentence structures, complex verb forms, modifiers, and
punctuation, and on the writing of sentences in context. PREREQUISITE: EL
101 with a grade of C or better or placement by testing required by the
College of non-native speakers of English. For computation of tuition this
course is equivalent to five semester hours. Five hours each week.
Additional laboratory required. THREE CREDITS. NOT
APPLICABLE TO A DEGREE OR CERTIFICATE. MAY NOT BE USED TO SATISFY DEGREE
REQUIREMENTS.
