Course Description
This
course focuses on Oracle Forms and Reports and Oracle development tools. Topics
include object properties, customizing
forms, windows and views, menus, multiple form applications, creating and
formatting reports, designing and executing reports, creating programming
modules using Oracle development tools, and managing data to produce reports.
The development life cycle is used to teach the concepts and techniques of
Oracle Developer/2000. 3 semester hours;
3
hours each week.
Prerequisite: CS271
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this
course, students will be able to:

Gain the
real project implementation knowledge and experience
·
Create and
modify window-based database applications using Forms 5.0
·
Work with
the Data Block Wizard and Layout Wizard of the Forms 5.0
·
Modify the
default menu module
·
Design and
develop menu modules.
·
Write and
test all levels of forms triggers, using Oracle Forms 5.0 built-in packages
·
Create and
test Reports applications using Oracle Reports 3.0 tools, including reports
triggers, Reports Wizard and Chart Wizard
·
Develop
Reports applications, including tabular report, master-detail report,
master-detail report with summary columns, master-detail reports with group
summary columns, and reports with graphical charts

Policies

No food or
drink is permitted in any Montgomery College classroom at any time.

assignments and quizzes are due almost every class period. You are responsible
for all work missed, and for meeting assignment due dates when absent. Please
call or email your instructor if you are going to be late or absent.

You are
strongly encouraged to contact your instructor at home by phone or e-mail if
you are having difficulties, or have any questions about assignments.

All
assignments are expected to be the result of your own efforts, not the
collaboration with others. Plagiarism or turning in an assignment, which is
essentially identical to that of another student, will result in a zero for
that assignment, with no opportunity to make up the grade.

Any
student who may need an accommodation due to a disability, please make an
appointment to see me during my office hour. A letter from Disability Support
Services authorizing your accommodations will be needed. Any student who may
need assistance in the event of an emergency evacuation must identify to the
