Course Description

This course covers advanced features and techniques of Oracle Developer for developing forms and reports applications used to process against Oracle databases. It focuses on two of the most frequently used Oracle Developer components: Form Builder and Report Builder.

 3 semester hours;

 

Prerequisite: CS272 and any 200 level programming language.

 

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

·         Create a block based on tables, views, and procedures

·         Organize code in program units, packages, and libraries

·         Describe the execution hierarchy and precedence of forms triggers

·         Construct form templates and build forms based on templates

·         Program check box, radio group, list item, and list of values

·         Integrate forms application and reports applications

·         Implement menu toolbars and menu security

·         Design and develop Reports using  PL/SQL functions, formula columns, triggers

                Oracle 9i Forms Builder and Report Builder available for use in the classroom and some labs

                9 hours of lectures per week with programming assignments.
