Overview
The Computer Science
Department of
the Montgomery College is proud to host the 2010
MC Programming Competition. The competition brings talented students from
MCPS high schools to the Montgomery College, Rockville
campus to participate in a programming competition. Schools may bring a maximum
of six students, but no more than 2 students per team. Each team will demonstrate their programming skills
and problem-solving abilities by attempting to solve a number of programming
problems. There is no cost to participate in the competition.

Rules and Procedure
Selected excerpts from the rules:
- Submission: You can only submit one source code
file for each problem, in JAVA.
- Detailed directions will be handed out at the
contest.
- During the competition, the computers will be
running Microsoft Windows. Contestants may write programs in Java.
Eclipse 3 and TextPad will be available for Java programming. Sun JDK
version 1.6 or newer (as a DOS command line program) will be used for
processing Java programs under Windows. No other programming environment
or language may be used. Brief manuals to Eclipse are available at
