Starting a business can be an overwhelming thought - so many sites exist to provide their opinions and expertise. One such site (provided by Miss Evan's class) is Business Administration Degree. There are also many sites for getting more information about creating a business plan (the first step in starting your own business), perhaps the Small Business Administration is the best place to start for unbiased samples and tutorials about starting your own business. Here is additional information about an Interactive Balance Sheet and an Interactive Income Statement from "the Street" website. A more detailed explanation of the terms can be found at "investopedia" for both the balance sheet and the income statement. After looking at financial records, it is time to start comparing the numbers. There are many sites with tutorials on understanding financial ratios, and which are the most significant to owners and lenders.
