Read Chapter 2 in the green book. Do the Formatting Assignment.
9/17/03 Special characters and Links

Read pages 58-61 in the green book.

1. On your index page, create a link to your favorite external Website.

2. At the bottom of your formatting page, create a link to your index page.

Test both links, live on the Web!

9/22/03 We DO have class! We will have our quiz, as scheduled, Wednesday 9/24. If you are unable to attend Monday, be sure to check the Faculty drive for notes. Campus computer labs are open 8:30am-10:00pm weekdays.
Fonts, Blockquote, review for quiz
In-class review (if you don't complete during class, or if you are absent today, finish for homework by Wednesday).
Study for quiz! Keep in mind that the quiz will be similar to today's activity, with the following differences:
  1. You will not have to do font or blockquote formats.
  2. You will have to answer substantive questions from the readings.
  3. You will need to make lists.
  4. You will have 1 hour to complete the quiz.
  5. You will be entitled to consult only your 1-page notesheet.

If you found the review difficult, I suggest you practice the entire process again until you can do it in 1 hour, using only 1 page of notes.

Add an image that is NOT copyrighted by someone else to your index page. It should be no more than 300 pixels in either height or width. It should not be distorted, and it should have a suitable alt attribute.

If the company/person/ organization already has a site, and you propose to do a redesign, you must give me the URL of the current site.
