NGC 2808

3 minutes exposure, Meade 416XT CCD camera.
8" f/6 newtonian at prime focus.

NGC 2808 is a bright and well condensed globular cluster in Carina, that seems to be largely unknown and ignored. It deserves to be much better known and probably would be if it were accessible to northern hemisphere observers. A good object in any telescope, the cluster is visible to the maked eye, and good resolution is obtained in an 8" telescope.

5 minutes exposure, Meade 416XT CCD camera.
300mm f/18 cassegrain at prime focus.
