Key Performance Indicators
I) Kiva.org provides Web-based tools for measuring those entrepreneurs in the
developing world in need of a microloan, monies already raised, the status of repayment, in addition to listing those accounts already paid back (see http://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=businesses&status=fundRaising
&sortBy=random).
II) Students will be surveyed on-line concerning the progress of their
individual loans as well as the level of their involvement in context to learning more about business and economics.
III) Students interested in working abroad during the summer or sponsoring
an event to be plan for the next semester will write a proposal describing their experience with loaning money to the poor, including references to ways in which they could be a mentor through an
organization such as the Mercy Corps
(http://www.micromentor.org).
Students and struggling entrepreneurs in developing countries will both
benefit in their efforts to achieve success.
