Welcome! This web site was developed to aid students taking CH100A via TV on the Montgomery College TV Channel and the web. It may also be of help to students taking on-campus sections of CH100A who wish to join in on the on-line discussion. CH100A is a course that assumes no previous knowledge of chemistry.  It does assume a college level knowledge of English and algebra.

The e-mail part of this course consists of a Forum, a Library and an address for your instructor for private communication.  You can send a private message to your instructor at the address "hplastas@umd5.umd.edu"; don't include the quotes.  .

In the Forum you can post a message for all to read.  This is a place to ask a question, make a comment or answer a question.  DO NOT send the answers to your homework or practice exams to the Forum.

The Library contains the readme file  you are presently reading, a syllabus, lecture notes , homework assignments  and miscellaneous handouts .
