1. Open up a new browser window, and on the libraries' home page click on the link for MC Library Catalog -- it's in the section entitled "Books, Videos & More . . . "
2. Change "Set One Limit" to "VHS & DVDs Rockville"
3. Change "Select Search Type" to "Keyword Boolean"
4. In "Enter Search Terms" insert a Boolean Search Expression similar to the ones below.

america AND violence

"american history"

america AND politics

america AND culture

women AND poverty

5. Click on the Search button. You should have a list of videos in the Rockville Campus Library, that contain your keyword somewhere in the title or in the description of the video.
6. To explore one of the titles on the list, simply click on the title.

The public library also has an enormous collection of videos that can be borrowed by county residents for seven days. You can search their catalog from any computer. Here's how:

1. Go to their home page: Montgomery County Public Libraries. (This link will open up the page in another browser.)
2. Click on the button entitled "Catalog and Your Account."
3. Click on the link entitled "Search the Library Catalog."
4. Look for the link "Advanced Search" in the bottom of the grey search box and click on it.
5. Near the bottom of the grey Advanced Search box, look for the category labeled "type" and change it to "VIDEO."
6. At the top of the grey Advanced Search box, in the field next to the "words or phrase" field, enter your search expression (keywords and Boolean operators -- see examples, above).
7. Click on the blue Search button.
