Using Windows Explorer and Dreamweaver
Tutorial
You will use Windows Explorer with Dreamweaver to set up your site, copy graphics, folders and files, and to save your work to an external disk at the end of each class.

Tutorial - Cut, Copy and Paste in Windows Explorer
- Open Windows Explorer
- Start > Right Click > Explore
- Flag Key + "E"
- Screen Shot - Two Windows
- Left Column - Drives and Folders
- Right Column - Drives, Folders and Files
- Select A File or Folder
- Click on the Icon - not on the name of the file or folder.
- Clicking on the name will activate the "Rename" function.
- Then "Do..."
Something with the Selected Item
- Cut
- Main Menu - Edit > Cut
- Main Menu - Edit > Move to Folder
- "Move to Folder" Dialog Box Appears
- Very safe way to know exactly what you're doing.
- Keyboard - Ctrl + X
- Standard Toolbar Icon - Scissors Icon
- Click and Drag - From one folder to another in the same drive.
- Copy
- Main Menu - Edit > Copy
- Main Menu - Edit > Copy to Folder
- "Copy to Folder" Dialog Box Appears
- Very safe way to know exactly what you're doing.
- Keyboard - Ctrl + C
- Standard Toolbar Icon - Double-paper Icon
- Click and Drag - From one folder to another in a different drive.
- Paste
- Main Menu - Edit > Paste
- Main Menu - Edit > Paste Special (Works in Dreamweaver - Excel Spreadsheets.)
- Keyboard - Ctrl + V
- Standard Toolbar Icon - Paper and Briefcase Icon
- Click and Drag - From one folder to another in a different drive
- Move
- Click and Drag - From one folder to another in a different drive

- Rename
- Select the file or folder name
- Clicking on the name will activate the "Rename" function.
- Right Click - Select Rename from the Context-Sensitive Dialog Box
- Simply Click inside the file/folder name box and retype a new name
- Hit "Enter" key
