JEFFREY R. SCHWARTZ CPA, M.B.A.

 

Professor Jeff Schwartz (b.1948) holds a B.S. from American University and an M.B.A. in Management Systems from George Washington University. He is a tenured full professor at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland. He has served as Chairman of the Business & Economics Department (1987-88), served on Faculty Council, and has taught at the school since 1973. He is currently treasurer of the Montgomery College chapter of AAUP. Courses taught include; Principles of Accounting I & II, Federal Income Tax, Cost Accounting and Introduction to Business. Professor Schwartz is currently serving as Director of the Macklin Business Institute.
     Mr. Schwartz is also a practicing CPA, has been a principal operating partner in two fine art related entities; one, an artist management company and two, a graphics publishing/art print distribution company. Jeff has owned and administrated retail businesses including twelve years in the video rental business and four years in a bicycle sales and service enterprise.
     Through a strong personal interest in music and musicology, Jeff has served on the Board of Directors of the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) and remains on the Advisory Board of that organization. He is active as a business and tax consultant to a variety of  business clients, including musicians and visual artists as well as real estate and medical practice entities.
