Teaching is my first love. Traveling is my second. As an ESL teacher, I’ve been fortunate to have had opportunities to travel and teach English in Asia, Africa, Central America, and Eastern Europe. While I’ve enjoyed meeting people in these different parts of the world, what I like best about teaching at Montgomery College is the opportunity to meet students from so many diverse cultures and language backgrounds, right in my own backyard. I value the unique background of each of my students, and the refreshing perspectives they bring. I received my Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Maryland, College Park, and two Masters of Education at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. I received additional Cambridge certification in teaching English to adult learners from the International House in Madrid. Additionally, I bring experience as a professional writer and instructional designer to my teaching. Courses |
