Community Health Worker Certification

Montgomery College now offers a Maryland State Department of Health approved Community Health Worker Certification. This certificate combines four Health Science courses (HLTH 105, HLTH 160, HLTH 225, and HLTH 298) with a 40-hour practicum at Holy Cross Hospital. At completion of this program, the participants will be qualified for and assisted in applying for a Maryland State Community Health Worker Certification. The program is based on the Germantown Campus.

Gaining Your Maryland State Community Health Worker Certification at Montgomery College

  1. Register as a MC student.
    Students should register in the Community Health Program 186A

  2.  Sign up for courses.
    If you run into any problems with the registration stating you do not meet the pre-requisites, reach out to me at kimberly.driver@montgomerycollege.edu and I will resolve it for you.
