Benefits and Membership
Whether you completed
your studies with an associates degree, certificate, or have taken classes
at Montgomery College and have transferred to continue your degree, you
are eligible to join the MC Alumni Association. Membership is free and
entitles you to a host of benefits. Complete the application and
return it to the MC Alumni Association.
Benefits
1. Two annual scholarships
for the sons and daughters or mothers and fathers of alumni ($1,850 each
for 1 year- application deadline is June 30.) Download
an application here.
2. Membership in the
Alumni Association benefits include:
- Free subscription to Insights magazine
- Reduced fee on pool passes and Takoma Park Campus, Racquetball
court fee and Falcon Hall (gym) pass
- Reduced ticket rate for Rockville Campus theater and
music productions
- Voting privileges for the Alumni Association Board of
Governors
- Eligibility to join the Montgomery County Teachers Federal
Credit Union and the Maryland State Employees Credit Union
- One free seminar each year sponsored by the MC Alumni
Association
- Invitations to special events
- Child care services on a space-available basis on each
campus
- Employment services
- Travel Program
- Discounts on auto and home insurance with Liberty Mutual
- Reduced membership to Smithsonian Resident Associates
Program
- Discounts and additional benefits and services at seven
different car rental agencies (drivers must be at least 21 years of
age) as well as discounts at Choice Hotels
- Borrowing privileges at all three MC campus libraries
- 15% discount on all merchandise, excluding textbooks
and computer software, at any of the campus bookstores
- Monthly e-newsletter keeping you up-to-date on all the
great happenings at MC
3. Nominate an accomplished
alumni for the Outstanding
Alumni Achievement Award. The application deadline is April 15 of
each year.
4. Athletic Hall of Fame
nominations are to be submitted to Tom Bichy, Athletic Director, Rockville
Campus, 51 Mannakee Street, Rockville, MD 20850.
