Former athletic director and head football coach at
Archbishop Carroll High School from 1960 to 1988, Maus Collins left the football field in
1989 to become vice president for Development and Community Affairs at Archbishop Carroll.
Ranked among the top high school football coaches in the country, he has led his team to
be the number one high school football team seven times in the last ten years, and was
selected in 1988 as the High School Football Coach of the United States" by the
Touchdown Club. With 237 wins, 45 losses and 7 ties, he ranked second in the country in
wins and winning percentages in 1989.

Dr.
Collins is concerned not only with the athletic abilities of his students, but with
helping them to achieve their greatest potential. A tribute to his ability to help
students is the fact that he succeeds in getting 95 percent of his graduates into college.
He is founder and past president of the Association of Catholic Guidance Directors and
served as chairman of the Archdiocese College Day Programs from 1969 to 1986.
