WELCOME MESSAGE
Welcome to MS202 - Acoustical Physics and Instrumentation II,
In this course we will continue to explore how an ultrasound system works through the study of acoustical physics. It is my belief that a proficient knowledge of ultrasound physics not only will allow you to become a fully registered sonographer upon graduation, but will improve your scanning and allow you to produce quality images. I look forward to seeing you all in my online class!
FACULTY INFORMATION
I have been a part-time faculty member for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography department since 2005, when I graduated from the program. After earning my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I decided to switch careers and become a sonographer. I am still a practicing sonographer and hold credentials in Abdominal and Ob/Gyn Sonography.
CATALOG DESCRIPTION
A continuation of MS 102. Fundamental principles of acoustical physics, including principles of pulse echo imaging, artifacts, hemodynamics, Doppler, quality assurance and bioeffects.
