Welcome to MS224 - Seminar: Diagnostic Medical Sonography,
This course serves as a review of acoustical physics and instrumentation to prepare students for the national registry ultrasound physics board exam. I look forward to seeing you all in my online class!
FACULTY INFORMATION
I have been a part-time faculty member for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography department since 2005, when I graduated from the program. After earning my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I decided to switch careers and become a sonographer. I am still a practicing sonographer and hold credentials in Abdominal and Ob/Gyn Sonography.
CATALOG DESCRIPTION
Seminar addresses issues that will facilitate the graduates' entry into the career of sonography. Topics include registry examination preparation and test-taking strategies.
COURSE PREREQUISITES
Admission to the DMS program or consent of program coordinator, MS102 and MS202
TEXTBOOK
TBD by instructor in advance.
ONLINE REQUIREMENTS
This online course consists of 5 learning modules that correspond to the session weeks. Each module requires students to participate in weekly online lectures, discussions, assignments, and quizzes. The final exam takes place during Week 6.
TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS
