The old version of WebCT had Welcome pages. Several of you have asked if we could provide the same type of information about your courses since the new version of WebCT doesn’t have this capability. We have been able develop the forms and a process for what we are now calling Course Information pages. The goal is to provide generic (not semester specific) information about your courses. It is our hope that the pages will NOT have to be updated on a regular basis.

Here's the process:

1. Please complete the form on this page.
http://www.montgomerycollege.edu/distance/courseip/dlinfopageform.html

2. Once you submit the information, it will be put in this format. http://www.montgomerycollege.edu/distance/courseip/so101Twombly.html
A picture would be great, but not required. Thanks to Charlotte for providing the sample.

3. Students will find the Course Information pages by going to the semester credit schedule page, for example fall is at http://www.montgomerycollege.edu/distance/fall08.html

4. Then students would select a course and be sent to this page http://www.montgomerycollege.edu/distance/courseip.html. Those courses with information will be linked to a page like Charlotte’s. Those courses without information will not be linked.

This is a great way to showcase your courses to students prior to and after registration. We are getting about 500 hits a week on the Course Schedule page even during the slow summer registration period.
