The Office of Distance Learning is offering several options to help online students have a successful first semester. Please encourage students to pick one of the following orientations that are being offered this Fall.
A few disciplines such as the EN 101 and 102 common courses have specialized on-campus orientations which should be chosen rather than options 1 or 2 below.
♠ 1. On campus - Aug 27, 28, 29 - all three campuses, two sessions each. Interested students should email buddy.muse@montgomerycollege.edu
• Session 1 - Takoma Park/SS, ST330; 10:30 AM to 12 Noon - August 27
• Session 2 - Takoma Park/SS, ST330; 2:00 to 3:00 PM - August 27
• Session 3 - Rockville, HU311, 1:00 to 2:30 PM, August 28
• Session 4 - Rockville, HU311, 5:00 to 6:30 PM, August 28
• Session 5 - Germantown, HT 205, 1:00 P.M. - 2:30 P.M. on August 29
• Session 6 - Germantown, HT 205, 5:00 P.M - 6:30 P.M. on August 29
♠ 2. Virtual orientation - August 22: 2-3:30 using Elluminate. Interested students should email anita.crawley@montgomerycollege.edu They will receive a link to the Elluminate site a couple of days before the workshop.
