Advanced Online Teaching (AOT) – Quality Matters is a six-week fully online course that offers experienced online instructors an opportunity to review and improve the design of your online course. AOT focuses on an iterative process of course review as participants compare a course you’ve designed to the standards established by Quality Matters, a nationally recognized rubric.
Weekly activities such as presentations and simulations, readings, discussions, and assignments form the basis of a rich, highly interactive exploration of online teaching and learning. You will choose aspects of your course to redesign and work with your peers to analyze your work. The dialog and interaction continue as the class explores the latest trends and technologies in e-learning. The course culminates with each student submitting a Course Improvement Plan will be used to guide your course revisions.
