WebCT, the course management system from which most online courses at Montgomery College are taught, is soon to be called Blackboard. For the present, the biggest change will be in the name. The company, Blackboard is in the process of merging the two products that were formerly known as Blackboard and WebCT. During spring '08 the company will stop using the name WebCT CE (our version) and start calling it Blackboard CE 8. It is NOT a version change.
