1. Deliver a fully online class
An online class replaces a traditional, on-campus class. The course material is presented primarily through asynchronous Internet communications, although some instructors may choose to use virtual chat capabilities. In addition, some face-to-face meetings may be required for testing or other purposes.
2. Deliver a blended class
A blended class substitutes a distance component for some portion of the State-required meeting minutes and thereby reduces the number of face-to-face meeting minutes for the class. A classroom must be assigned for the on-campus meetings.
3. Supplement your on-campus course with a WebCT site
A web-enhanced course is not a distance learning course. The total State-required meeting minutes are held in a classroom. A web-enhanced course uses a distance component solely to supplement face-to-face classes. The distance component does not reduce the number of face-to-face meeting minutes for the class.
