Some users are experiencing difficulties logging into and/or using WebCT after they have upgraded their Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser from Version 7 to Version 8. If you are one of the individuals experiencing problems, please follow the instructions below to solve your problems.
IMPORTANT! - PLEASE make sure you have the latest version of Sun Java installed on your computer! Some users might mistake Java problem for other technical problems when using WebCT with Internet Explorer 8. If you don't have Java installed on your computer, then WebCT might not work.
Go to http://www.java.com and check to see if you are running the latest version of Java. You will also be able to download and install Java through this site.
SOLUTION 1
1.
On top, to the right of your Address bar, beside the REFRESH button, click on the Compatibility View button.

Once you click, your browser might refresh by itself. Just log back into WebCT.
SOLUTION 2
Since Internet Explorer 8 is brand new, many Web sites might have problems displaying the pages correctly, including WebCT. You can choose to set the Compatibility View Settings to ALWAYS be on. By doing so, every Web sites you visit will be displayed as if you are actually using an older version of Internet Explorer instead of version 8.

Go on top to the menu bar and click on TOOLS, between Favorites and Help.

Under Tools, select the option for COMPATIBILITY VIEW SETTINGS.

Once you are inside the Compatibility View Settings menu, go down and click on the third option that reads "Display all websites in Compatibility View."

Check that third option and then click CLOSE. You should be done!
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are still having difficulties using WebCT after performing the above instructions, please save all your browser's Favorites and other necessary data (Username/Passwords, etc.) from Internet Explorer 8 and uninstall this version. You should go back to Internet Explorer 7 after the uninstallation.
