One quarter of all graduating Montgomery County Public School
(MCPS) seniors enroll at a campus of Montgomery College in the fall following graduation from high school. Every year, several thousand Montgomery College students transfer successfully to four-year colleges & universities. 3,915 MC students transferred to four year colleges in 45 states in 2005!
Why Do Transfer Students Come to Montgomery College?
Academics - Small class sizes facilitate more attention from caring professors.
Cost - Montgomery College tuition is a fraction of the tuition cost of four year colleges.
Admission to Four Year Schools - Generally, students who earn at least 30 credits and have a 3.0 grade point average will be admitted to most colleges regardless of high school record and SAT scores.
