Welcome to the Government Relations and Community Affairs web pages.   We are Montgomery College’s liaison with all levels of government - federal, state, county, and local municipalities.  The office is also a conduit to our communities regarding what Montgomery College is doing on each of the 3 campuses that might interest particular neighborhoods. 

                Our mission is to follow issues at all levels of government that might impact Community Colleges in general and Montgomery College in particular,  including legislative initiatives, budget recommendations, land use requirements, and educational opportunities.

                We hope you will take advantage of the information on this site and become involved in issues of interest to you.  When elected officials are contacted by residents, they listen.  We look to our residents to help us present our case for adequate funding for important educational programs and facilities to enable us to meet the demands of our increasing student population.  So visit our site often to gather information about what is happening on our campuses and with our elected officials.
