The purpose of the Steering Committee is to ensure Montgomery College obtains reaccreditation and to guide the Montgomery College Self-Study Work Groups through the reaccreditation process.
The Self-Study process must be in compliance with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) eligibilty requirements and standards for reacreditation. The Self-Study process needs to be done in a timely manner via self-review and peer evaluation. It is the duty of the Steering Committee to periodically convey the findings of the Self-Study to the college community at-large and to take direction and incorporate feedback from said community.
The Steering Committee is comprised of college faculty, staff, and administrators from Germantown, Rockville, and Takoma Park/Silver Spring campuses, OITB, WD & CE, and Manakee. They consist of the Committee Co-Chairs, Members, Ex Officio Members, and Resource Members.
