|   | A rewarding career as a registered nurse can be yours, and the path to that career starts at Montgomery College's Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. With the country more health conscious than ever, the demand for registered nurses continues to increase. As a graduate of Montgomery College's two-year Associate Degree nursing program, you are qualified to take the examination to be licensed as a registered nurse. You will be prepared to give competent nursing care to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and other comparable health agencies under the supervision of experienced qualified practitioners. |
| You may complete the nursing program in two years. If you are thinking of transferring to a four-year college program, additional or optional courses may be taken to ensure maximum transferability of credit. You may be admitted to the sequence of nursing courses in the fall or spring semester. You may enroll in general education courses required by the nursing curriculum at the beginning of any semester or summer session. Some of the general education courses are also available in evening sections and through Distance Learning, online. |
