  • Of particular interest to all first time MC students, independent of age and/or prior College enrollment, will be the “First Year Experience” pages. These describe various “orientation” opportunities for familiarization with procedures and resources specific to Montgomery College.
  • The “Parents and Families” page expands this scope considerably to include planning advice for College preparation going back to the early years of Secondary School.

Montgomery College is Maryland's oldest community college. Campuses are located in Takoma Park/Silver Spring, Rockville, and Germantown and are complemented by smaller off-campus sites to serve residents throughout Montgomery County.

Today, more than 100 degree and certificate programs prepare students to earn an associate's degree, transfer to a four-year college or university, enter the job market, upgrade career skills, complete an apprenticeship, or enhance life through enrichment experience. The College offers day, evening, and weekend courses to meet the needs of its diverse student body. Montgomery College is widely recognized for the quality and scope of its academic programs in the liberal arts sciences, business, and technologies. 

Complemented by a comprehensive Continuing Education program, the College seeks to offer students a well-defined path to personal and career success and enrichment through non-credit courses found at Continuing Education
