Important Information for Visiting Students taking Summer Courses

 
Are you planning to take classes at MC over the summer to transfer back to your home college/university?
Step  1 - Submit an Admission Application
  This only needs to be done once, so if you have previously applied to or taken credit classes at MC, skip this step.
Step  2 - Obtain a “Permission to Enroll” form from your home college/university’s Registration Office.
  Fax this completed form to the MC campus that you plan to attend.
The fax numbers are:
Germantown Office of Admissions & Records (240) 567-7815
Rockville Office of Admissions & Records (240) 567-5037
Takoma Park/Silver Spring Office of Admissions & Records (240) 567-1497
Allow two business days to process
Step  3 - Log on to MyMC
  to register and pay for your classes. The “Permission to Enroll” form will enable the Office of Admissions & Records to put overrides in the system, which will make your registration possible.
Step  4 - Bring your schedule and proof of a zero balance to the campus you plan to attend in order to obtain a student ID card and parking pass. (This may be done the first day of class or as soon as you’ve made payment arrangements.) Go to:
  Germantown Office of Student Life: SA Building, Rm 186
Rockville Admissions & Records: SV Building, Lobby
Takoma Park/Silver Spring Office of Student Life: ST Building, Rm 217
Step  5 - Buy your books
Step  6 - When your class is finished, you will be able to track your grades through MyMC. If your home college/university requires an official transcript you may order it through MyMC.
   
Are you an MC student planning to take summer courses at another college/university this summer?
Step  1 - Submit a completed Montgomery College Permission to Enroll form to the Office of Admissions & Records. This form ensures that the courses successfully completed at another institution will transfer back to MC and count toward your degree goals.
 
Allow five business days to process
Step  2 - When you have completed your course(s), and you wish to have these courses transferred to MC, request an official transcript and send it to your home campus:
