Air Force Wounded Warrior Program (AFW2)
Airmen medically separated with combat-related disability, including Purple Heart recipients, are provided a family liaison officer, transition assistance, case management, civilian job search assistance and help with filing of VA disability claims.
Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2)
The U.S. Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2) is the official Army program that serves severely wounded, injured, and ill Soldiers and their Families, wherever they are located, for as long as it takes. AW2 supports the most severely wounded Soldiers from the Global War on Terrorism who have, or are expected to receive, an Army disability rating of 30% or greater in one or more specific categories or a combined rating of 50% or greater for conditions that are the result of combat or are combat related.
Navy SAFE HARBOR Command - Severely Injured Support
The Navy's non-medical case management program for wounded, ill and injured sailors and their family members, which supports and assists sailors through recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration.
Wounded Warrior Regiment
Provides assistance to wounded, ill and injured Marines; sailors attached to or in support of Marine units; and their family members throughout the phases of recovery. Telephone assistance available toll-free: 1-877-487-6299.
Marine for Life
Assists transitioning Marines with employment, veterans benefits, education and community information, and provides links to service organizations and more.
U.S. Army Warrior Care & Transition Office
Provides strategic direction and develops plans, policies and resources for warrior care initiatives and programs dedicated to the support, care, and healing of wounded, ill and injured soldiers.
Wounded Soldier & Family Hotline
1-800-984-8523 call center offers wounded and injured soldiers and their families help in resolving medical issues.
Wounded Warrior Project
Programs and services including benefits counseling, employment assistance, family support, recreational activities and more, to assist severely injured veterans of the Iraq, Afghanistan and other recent conflicts transition back to civilian life.
Wounded Warrior Resource Center
A 24/7 wounded warrior resource center offering assistance for military facilities, healthcare services, and/or benefits information available for service members and their family members to call 1-800-342-9647.
