Explore Transfer Schools

Some four-year institutions offer a degree in Accounting; others have students major in Business with a Concentration or Track in Accounting. The MC Advising by Major– Business page has a list of schools within a 50-mile driving radius of Rockville.

There are many statewide and national resources available to help you find the right transfer school for you.

  • ARTSYSnew window: ARTSYS is intended to aid the transfer of students from Maryland community colleges to the University System of Maryland institutions and other participating institutions. Please work with a counselor/advisor when using ARTSYS, and do not use the red "general education" links, as they do not align with MC general education areas.
  • The Academic Common Marketnew window: Through this tuition-savings program, students can enroll in participating out-of-state institutions that offer their degree program and pay the institution’s in-state tuition rates. More than 1,900 undergraduate and graduate programs are available.
  • Maryland Transfer Advantage Programnew window: This program provides MC students a pathway to earn an undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland (UMD).

Internships and Volunteering

Having internships or volunteer experience may help you when applying to transfer institutions.

  • eJobs: Search Montgomery College's database for job and internship opportunities.
  • Service-Learning and Civic Engagement: Find more volunteer and service-learning opportunities through MC's offices of Student Life.
